Isabelle H. (nee Happle) Grimshaw, 95, of Clifton, NJ died Monday.
Born in West Paterson, NJ she resided in Brattleboro, Vermont before moving to Clifton in 1965. Mrs. Grimshaw was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Clifton where she was an Ordained Elder and Deacon and a member of the Bell Choir, Woman's Group, Sunday School Teacher and Girl Scout Leader, she was also a former Schoolyard Monitor at School # 5, Valley Road, Clifton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Grimshaw in 1981; three brothers, George, Martin and Joseph Happle; and five sisters, Margaret Happle, Teresa Happle, Mary Wickham, Veronica Hepscher and Judy Buschgans.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Frey of Sarasota, Florida, Patricia Hricenak of Cedar Hill, Tennessee and Kathy Grimshaw-Haven of Clifton; one brother, John Happle of Lakeland, Florida; five grandchildren, Tom and Matthew Frey, Chuck and Bill Merop and Abigail Haven; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 11:00 am Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 303 Maplewood Avenue, Clifton. Please Meet at Church. Private Cremation to Follow. Visiting Hours Thursday 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Austine School for the Deaf, 209 Austine Drive, Brattleboro, Vermont 05301.
